Where we live
Today we will have a little walk around the
area where my family and myself are living.
You will see few random shots taken with Nikon
F5 and Nikki with FUJI Provia 100F and scanned with Nikon Coolscan 5000 ED and Vuescan.
So at first a analog part and then digitalized.
The original slides look much much better and
it is really great to view the slides with a projector. So a lot of IQ was lost
during the process whereas subjects nearby look better than landscape images.
Our area is the middle part of the so named
„Ruhr valley“. The Ruhr region is one of
the largest industrial areas in Germany and many famous companies like Krupp,
Thyssen etc . were incorporated here sometimes 100 or 200 years ago.
In the last 30 years the industry changed from
steel, coal mining and machine-building etc. Today we have more
software companies, insurance companies and servicing business.
The environment protection has a significant
status. Our local area for example is a part of the water supply for several
million people.
Last week I had a little walk with Nikon F5
and Nikki (the weather was surprisingly very good that afternoon) along some
grain fields to an old river lock. This lock was built in 1774 during the first
industrial progress. Today it is a historical building and of course out of
order.
Below the lock and few images from the local
place around.
Beside the lock you will find few exhibits
which will use for the water processing.
This will be my next to last post with Nikki.
Tomorrow Nikki will move to Mihai and I’m pretty sure that we will see then a
lot of great images from Romania.
Today I have taken few flower images with
Nikki which I will (hopefully) PP this evening or night so that I can publish
these pics tomorrow.
